How to put iPhone in DFU mode and out of it?
What is iPhone DFU mode?
“DFU” stands for Device Firmware Update. iPhone DFU mode is a status that your iPhone is powered on but not running the iOS system or boot loader. That’s the main difference between iPhone DFU mode and iPhone recovery mode.
iPhone DFU mode is often used to downgrade the firmwire after upgrade a beta iOS version. Beta iOS version may have many bugs and incompatible with your Apps. And Jailbreak needs iPhone DFU mode also.
How to put your iPhone in DFU mode?
The process of putting iPhone in DFU mode is almost the same with putting iPhone in recovery mode, but much more complicated and harder to master. Be patient!
1. Connect your iPhone to your computer via USB cable. Press and hold the power button until you see the slide to power off your iPhone.

2. Press and hold the home button and power button at the same time for 10 seconds. Then release the power button and keep holding the home button. You can see the Apple logo appear on the screen and keep holding the home button. Release it when you see the message pop-up saying that it detects your iPhone is in recovery mode.

3. If your iPhone enters the DFU mode, the screen is black. If you see the “connect to iTunes logo”, you just put iPhone in recovery mode. Repeat the whole process again.
How to get iPhone out of DFU mode?
To exist iPhone DFU mode, you need to press and hold both the power and home button, few seconds later, you will see the Apple logo appear on the screen and your iPhone will boot up. Now your iPhone is out of DFU mode.
